A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Piotr, but most people just call me Pete.
I'm a graphic and web designer which means I can create designs and marketing materials for both the web and print worlds. I was born in Poland and came to Canada when I was seven years old. Coming from a different country meant , obviously, I could not speak the language and so I quickly developed an interest in the visual arts. After many years of debates with my teachers over my constant class time doodling it dawned on me that I should pursue this passion for art. I decided to attend the Advertising program at Algonquin College and learned how to apply my abilities to the world of marketing. There I found that I not only excelled in artistic creation but also in design. Now, 6 years after beginning my journey into the marketing world, I find myself working in the field and still loving everything about it.

After spending several years in Ottawa ON, I moved to Kingston ON after my marriage to my beautiful wife Havery. Together we are still living in Kingston with our very large and curious cat Toast. In a matter of months our happy little family will grow to include one more when our first child arrives.

The professional me

Currently I am working as the Art Director at Creative Unity, a small advertising agency that caters to the needs of small and medium sized businesses. This position has given me the opportunity to work on a very broad range of projects, and therefor the experience this has given me is invaluable. Click here to see where I work!

Two of the largest projects that I've worked on are the mail-out campaigns for the Canadian Wood Council and the Break Me Free campaign which included the designing of posters, stickers, t-shirts the creation of their website, and many others. I've worked on logo designs, brochure layouts, corporate identity packages, magazines, trade-show graphics and many other odds and ends that are demanded from working with small businesses. From initial concept development to the design process, to the project completion and finally to the preparation of print ready or graphic files for coding, I am involved throughout the entire process. I have had extensive experience in web design and I am also well versed in print design for both digital and offset printing.

Having been trained in the marketing aspects of the industry, I have learned to create innovative and unique designs which not only capture the audiences attention but also get the results that the clients have asked for.
